From Sewing Novice to Sewing Obsession

The tale of my sewing misadventures begins in 2015. I had a brilliant idea, or so I thought: "I'll buy a sewing machine and become a fashion mogul!" Off I trotted to purchase fabric, opting for something cheap because, you know, never don it before, being responsible with money and all that jazz.

With grand aspirations, I commenced my masterpiece – a circle skirt (Yes i know, its not that hard), but it turned out, just okay. In fact, it ended up buried in the depths of my wardrobe and my dreams of haute couture glory were over, and my sewing machine found itself on shelf duty. Can you relate?

Anyhow, fast forward six years – and there I was, staring at my long-forgotten dusty sewing machine with a newfound determination. This time, I approached things differently. I fearlessly selected a sewing pattern with a difficulty level akin to climbing Mount Everest and I splurged on fabric that I simply adored. It was a rollercoaster of frustration and thread tangles. But do you know what? I emerged victorious. I actually made something that didn't resemble a DIY disaster! And thus, my sewing machine and I embarked on a journey of redemption, proving that even the most hopeless of sewing novices can eventually stitch their way back to success. Now I am obsessed with exploring fabrics and different patterns, designs - and several creations have been made after this - just follow my instagram.
